Staying safe
Dibbid deliberately holds almost nothing about you. That makes the platform a poor target — but it also means anyone asking you for personal details here is up to no good.
Keep it safe. Dibbid never asks for payment. Never share bank or card details, your address, phone number, passwords or ID documents. Settle up and hand over in person, with someone you know. Staying safe
Never share these
- Bank account, IBAN, card numbers, CVV codes or PINs.
- Your home address, phone number or email, unless you have decided to.
- Passwords, your Dibbid recovery phrase, or one-time codes — ever, to anyone.
- Passport, ID or driving licence photos.
- Payment links, gift card codes or "deposit first" transfers.
What Dibbid will never do
We never ask for payment, never handle money, never hold items, and never contact you asking for your recovery phrase or password. There is no Dibbid courier, no Dibbid escrow and no Dibbid refund. If a message claims otherwise, it is not from us.
Signs of a phishing attempt
- Pressure to move the conversation somewhere else immediately.
- An offer to pay a deposit, or to overpay and have you refund the difference.
- A link to "verify your account" or "confirm delivery".
- Someone claiming to be Dibbid staff, support or an administrator.
- Urgency, secrecy, or a story that keeps changing.
Handing over safely
Dibbid is built for circles you already know. Meet in person, in a place you are comfortable in, look at the item before anything changes hands, and settle up directly. If you don't recognise the other person, you are under no obligation to go ahead.
If someone asks anyway
Stop, don't send anything, and tell us through the support page. Include the collection code and item number so we can act. See also the privacy policy for exactly what we hold and how long for.
